On the 5th of October, CESD Labour Team went to Ministry of Industry (MoI) in the afternoon to present findings from Enterprise Survey conducted in June 2015. Director General Daw Aye Aye Win from Ministry of Industry attended the presentation with three of her fellows and entered discussion with CESD Labour Team after the presentation.


In the late afternoon, CESD Labour Team also presented causes and consequences of migration based on finding from Mon State Rural Household survey and in-depth interviews with migrant families to Deputy Director General Daw Khin Nway Oo and her fellows who are responsible for dealing with migration issues from Ministry of Labour, Immigration and Population (MoLIP).


CESD Labor Team having dialogue with Local and Oversea Worker Affairs Committee (Upper Parliament) on labor relations and causes and consequences of migration.

On the 6th October, CESD labour team went to Amyothar Hluttaw (Upper Parliament) and met with Local and Overseas Worker Affair Committee. During meeting with the committee, CESD labour team presented finding from Enterprise survey and causes and consequences of migration to the committee members. Dialogue on labour relation and migration were held between CESD Labour Team and Local and Overseas Worker Affair Committee after the presentation.

CESD Labour Team believed that presenting key findings from our works to key stakeholders will extend our network, build stronger relationship with stakeholders and foster the labour market reform process which we believed will improve the well-being of both workers and enterprises.
