A presentation to the Agriculture and Rural Development Sector Working Group looked at the crucial role of agricultural public expenditure in achieving the newly-elected Myanmar government’s priorities for agriculture and rural development.
Research undertaken by Michigan State University, in partnership with CESD, looked at answering three key questions:
- Is the overall level of agricultural public expenditure in Myanmar appropriate?
- Are agricultural public expenditures being spent on the right things?
- Are agricultural expenditures effective?
